As many of you know, my wife Amy and I have long been champions of our community and of education. This year, we are increasing our personal commitment by serving as the 2026 Campaign Chairs for the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. 

In this role, we are launching the Shine Bright for Education challenge and directly matching every gift made to the United Way’s Education Fund, dollar-for-dollar. By contributing, you will help students strengthen reading and math skills, improve attendance, and connect with caring adults who will help them see their possibilities.

Your gift can go even further as the Bedford Foundation will match any new or increased donation, effectively tripling the impact of your contribution.

Our dedication to this cause runs deep. Amy's commitment to education started in the classroom as an English teacher and continues today through her volunteerism with Read Across America, the Hispanic Center of the Lehigh Valley, and her support of Historic Bethlehem.

Our community advocacy is also rooted in personal experience as our daughter, Arden, was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma at the age of two. This journey showed us firsthand what it means for a community to provide hope, support and stability when we needed it most. It’s also why we believe so strongly in the critical resources the United Way offers.

As the Victaulic United Way campaign kicks off, today through October 2nd, please join us in supporting this year’s campaign and keep in mind every dollar you give will be invested directly back into your local community.
